The Patient Experience at RHRLI

Finding a solution to hair loss is a very personal thing. All of our patients at RHRLI are deeply concerned about their appearance. We know that any interaction with doctors or other medical professionals is also deeply personal. People want to be comfortable with their surroundings and establish a trusting relationship with their doctor. If they’re having a hair restoration procedure, they want to understand every step of the process and they want to know the procedure works for them. At RHRLI, our practice is designed with our patients in mind. The RHRLI Edge patient experience is what sets us apart from other treatment centers.

RHRLI is a State-of-the-Art Hair Loss Treatment Center

RHRLI uses only state-of-the-art equipment for hair restoration. The robotic technology is known as the ARTAS® system, and it provides our patients with the most effective hair loss treatment available.

The ARTAS® robotic arm will search for healthy hair in donor areas near the back of your head that can be transferred to areas where your hair is thinning. RHRLI does not use scalpels and sutures like other practices, nor do we use less accurate hand-held devices. ARTAS® is minimally invasive so patients will be back to their normal activity within days. So how do you begin the hair restoration process?

Your Personal RHRLI Consultation

Your patient experience starts when you meet with RHRLI’s board-certified surgeon Dr. Baiju Gohil. He meets with all of our patients and he performs all of RHRLI’s hair restoration procedures. Dr. Gohil will give you a physical examination and go over your medical history to see if you are an ideal candidate for the ARTAS® procedure. Most patients will be able to undergo the procedure, all of which are done in our Jericho office. Once you qualify, we’ll tell you more about the procedure, which can take from 4 to 8 hours.

The ARTAS® Experience

Once you schedule your appointment to transform your image through the ARTAS® procedure, you’ll notice the RHRLI difference right away. Dr. Gohil only schedules one procedure a day and we’ll make certain you’re comfortable and schedule a number of breaks during the procedure. Per the ARTAS® website, it’s recommended that you cut your hair before undergoing the procedure. Before you have the procedure, cutting your hair in stages will make the process less noticeable.

On the day of the procedure, we advise patients to wear comfortable clothes. During the procedure, you’ll be awake and alert. You will only need a local anesthetic and most patients report little to no pain after the procedure.

With RHRLI and ARTAS®, You’ll Be Back to Normal Soon

Unlike follicular unit transplantation procedures, also known as strip surgery, there won’t be long recovery times. If you’re feeling discomfort, we usually prescribe non-aspirin pain relievers such as acetaminophen. You’ll be back to your normal life in just days. Contact RHRLI today to learn about the difference that experience brings.
