RHRLI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an SMS messaging program that allows patients and prospective patients to receive text messages related to our services. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS/MMS messages from RHRLI at the number provided. Message frequency may vary based on your interactions with us.

2. Messaging Use Cases

We may send SMS messages for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Appointment & Service Alerts: confirmations, reminders, and important scheduling updates
  • Customer Support: responses to inquiries or ongoing support conversations
  • Practice Updates: notifications about our services, locations, or hours
  • Promotional Messaging: special offers, event announcements, and marketing communications

3. Consent Is Not a Condition of Service

You are not required to consent to receive SMS messages as a condition of receiving medical care, consultations, or any services from RHRLI. You may receive our services regardless of whether you opt in to SMS communications.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. Contact your carrier for details on applicable rates.

5. No Sharing of SMS Opt-In Information

We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your SMS opt-in information or phone number to any third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and messaging consent are used exclusively to deliver messages directly from RHRLI as described in these Terms.

We may share information only when required by law, or with essential service providers who assist in delivering our SMS messages (such as messaging platforms), and only under strict confidentiality obligations.

6. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any message we send
  • Reply CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, or QUIT to any message

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Opt-out requests are processed within 10 business days.

8. Age Requirement

9. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on factors outside our control, including carrier network availability.

10. HIPAA & Health Information

RHRLI is a HIPAA-covered entity. Any protected health information (PHI) collected in connection with our SMS program is handled in accordance with our Notice of Privacy Practices. We do not transmit PHI via unsecured SMS. Appointment reminders and general communications sent via SMS do not include your medical records or diagnosis information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued participation in our SMS program after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Nassau County.
